Letter, 1775 July 23.

Letter to Theodore Parsons describing life in Cambridge, Mass. Keith is extremely unhappy with his life in Cambridge. He describes how he resigned his commission in the Continental Army just before he would have been superceded by Horatio Gates. Keith relates that "General Washington, tis true has been here three weeks, but has done but little towards subduing Great Britain, and I should guess by the present appearance of things 'twould take us the whole winter to do it."
